I write to offer my support for the work of Clear Path International, a non-profit organization focused on the clearing of landmines and unexploded ordnance, as well as providing victim assistance, in Southeast Asia.

Founded in September of 2000, Clear Path International sponsors landmine-removal operations and provides support to victims of accidental landmine and unexploded ordnance explosions in Central Vietnam. Clear Path seeks to reduce the dangers posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance to innocent civilians, restore land for econominc development, and provide emergency medical treatment and long-term health care to explosion victims.

I support the efforts of Clear Path International, which plans to expand its operations into other areas of Vietnam and Cambodia. I believe Clear Path's mission will appeal to many concerned Americans and commend its humanitarian work in Southeast Asia.
