One Child Killed in Central Vietnam by Cluster Bomb Others Injured
Gio Linh district, Quang Tri Province, Vietnam- On Feb 3rd , 2005, a group of 5th grade children were playing on a sand pile in their neighborhood when a cluster bomb hidden in the sand exploded. One boy was killed on spot and another 3three were injured. Two out of the three received shrapnel in the face and required further hospitalization. Another was only slightly injured.
