Kristen Leadem
Co-Founder and Advisor
Kristen Leadem, a native of Manchester, Vermont, who joined Clear Path International in December 2000, has long had a passion for international development work.
She has served as the in-country representative for Clear Path International
in Vietnam and held the same position at PeaceTrees Vietnam in Quang Tri Province.
She has also volunteered as a sanitation and environmental development specialist
while working as an English conversation teacher at the Sarangkot District of
Nepal. She was also an independent community development volunteer and English
teacher in Thailand.
Before setting off on her humanitarian pursuits in Asia, Leadem was a pre-Kindergarten
teacher at the University of Oregon's Spencer View Cooperative in Eugene, Ore.,
for four years. She graduated with a B.S. in Sociology from the University of
Oregon, Eugene, in 1993.
Kristen has been instrumental in creating new programs and opportunities for
CPI. She initiated and developed our program in Cambodia and has overseen bomb
removal projects in Vietnam as well as initiated our Accident Survivor Assistance
Program.
She is on a much deserved sabbatical from CPI field work and serves as a volunteer
advisor to the program.
