James Holland

Director of External Relations

A Chicagoland-native, Holland moved to Washington, D.C. in 2010 where he has spent the past 12 years fighting to advance the conservative movement. Beginning this stint as an intern at Heritage Action For America, then heading to the Senate where he first handled the judiciary portfolio for Senator Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), and later served as Chief Counsel for Senator David Vitter (R-L.A.). From 2015 until 2022, James worked at the National Rifle Association’s lobbying arm, the Institute for Legislative Action, as director of federal affairs where he worked with members of Congress and their staff to develop policy ideas that restore and advance the fundamental right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment.

James is an active member of his church and strongly believes there is no greater time than now to fight to uphold Christian principles in the wake of a culture set on destroying every last vestige of faith in the public square. He lives in Fort Hunt, Virginia with his wife Becky and their three children: Ella, Finn and Perri Grace.
